What Louisiana hospitals have the highest net patient revenue?

The Louisiana hospital with the highest net patient revenue is Ochsner Medical Center – Main Campus, with an NPR of $2 billion. They have earned the Magnet designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center four times, placing them in the top 1% of hospitals across the United States.

The Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans has eight centers of excellence: cancer services, Ochsner Neuroscience Institute, Heart & Vascular Institute, Pediatrics, Ochsner Transplant Institute, Robotic Surgery, Primary Care Services, and Orthopedic Services. These centers of excellence are accompanied by care in over 40 specialties, allowing them to treat a wider range of patients.

The hospital with the second highest NPR in Louisiana is St. Tammany Parish Hospital, with an NPR of $1.9 billion. This hospital has an NPR that almost surpasses the top hospital in Louisiana despite having nearly one-fifth the number of staffed beds—Ochsner Medical Center has 1,024 beds, whereas St. Tammany Parish Hospital has only 213. With a smaller number of discharges, as well, St. Tammany’s high NPR may be due to patients’ relatively longer lengths of stay.

Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center has the third-highest net patient revenue in Louisiana, with an NPR of $1.3 billion. It is one of the 25 largest hospitals in the country, the largest private medical center in Louisiana, and one of only three Level I trauma centers in Louisiana. U.S. News & World Report ranks it as the #2 hospital in Louisiana, and it is high-performing in 12 procedures and conditions.
